Sportsbook Support: Futures, Props & Special Wagers

    Future Wagers

Top Bet offers wagering on future games and events. You can bet on the outcome of future divisional champions in several sports, the outcomes of most major sporting events and many annual tournaments before the season has even begun or throughout the season.

Keep in mind that the closer to the event, the less likely you are to get the same huge odds you see at the beginning of the season on Future Wagers.

    Props & Special Wagers

These refer to any wagers OTHER THAN straight wagers, moneyline wagers, point spread wagers, over/under, parlays, progressive parlays, teasers, If Wagers, Reverse Wagers, Asian Handicap wagers and futures.

Prop bets or special wagers might be things like individual player wagers, which team scores first in a given game or just about anything sports related.

You can parlay some Prop bets. To parlay Prop bets simply click the Parlay Options button on your Bet Ticket once you've selected 2 or more bets and proceed as you would with any other parlay wager.

For grading prop bets Top Bet uses the following websites, but does make all final decisions on grading.

    Baseball - MLB.com
    Hockey - NHL.com
    Basketball - NBA.com
    Pro Football - NFL.com
    College Football - ESPN.com

    1st 5-Inning Line Bets

This bet is similar to a half-time bet in football or basketball, except in baseball. You can bet a line offered on which team will be leading after both teams have finished hitting in the 5th inning.

Listed pitchers need to start for these wagers to be considered active. Each team's starting pitcher is the pitcher that throws the first pitch. If the listed starting pitcher does not start the bet is considered a push.

Ties in 1st 5-Inning wagers are considered pushes.

Score in the 1st Inning Bets

You can bet whether you think any/either team will score in the 1st inning of a baseball game. You don't have to pick which team you think it will be, just that someone will score by the completion of the 1st full inning.

This bet is graded a YES when any team scores in the 1st inning.
This bet is graded a NO when neither team scores in the 1st inning.

Bets are official upon completion of the 1st inning regardless of any outcomes or changes that occur in the game after the conclusion of the 1st inning, such as a rained out game in the 2nd inning.

    Baseball Props

Any baseball prop bet involving a "first" is graded as it occurs and will be considered official at that time. These could be bets like:

If the first pitch is a strike or hit
If the first hit will be a single, double, HR or triple

All other baseball props have the same rules as run lines and totals. A more in depth explanation

    Baseball Games & Game Props

Regarding wagers affected by a pitching change, whereby the listed starting pitcher does not start, the following bets are considered pushes:

    • All full-game total wager
    • Run lines
    • Prop wagers
    • 1st 5-inning wagers

If there is a pitching change listed after you place your bet then your wager will be active at the opening price offered by Top Bet at the time of the last correct pitching change and all full-game moneyline wagers will be considered active.

For full-game moneyline wagers where 1 pitcher has been listed at the time of the wager if that pitcher does not start the game then these wagers will be considered pushes the end of the game. However, if there is a pitching change on the other team then your wager will be active at the opening price offered by Top Bet at the time of the last correct pitching change.

For full-game moneyline wagers where both pitchers have been listed at the time of the wager and then there is a pitching change prior to the game, then all these wagers will be considered pushes.

    NCAA Football Conference Championship Tie-Breakers

Those teams winning the SEC, Big 12, and ACC championship games will be considered those conferences' "winners".

In other conferences with regards to a tie in regular season standings, that conference winner will be considered the team listed as having the highest rank according to the BCS standings the week following the conference championship games.

If no team is ranked in the BCS standings then we consider the conference winner the team ranked highest in the AP Poll the week following the conference championship games.
