Blazing Sevens (+1200)
Blazing Sevens was not among the horses that raced at Churchill Downs in the first leg of this year’s Triple Crown. However, it looked good in its most recent race, finishing third at the 2023 Blue Grass Stakes (Grade 1). After winning in its very first race in July 2022, Blazing Sevens took part in the 2022 Hopeful (Grade 1) and placed third.
Confidence Game (+1200)
Despite a long rest, Confidence Game mustered just a 10th-place finish at the 2023 Kentucky Derby. Prior to that, the last time it raced was back in February, when it topped the field at the 2023 Rebel Stakes (Grade 2). Having shaken off the rusts, Confidence Game will look to have a much better performance at Pimlico Race Course this coming weekend. It also had a third-place campaign at the 2023 Lecomte (Grade 3) last January.
Perform (+1200)
Trained by Claude McGaughey III, Perform took six races before it won it tasted its first victory last March. It followed that up with a win at the 2023 Federico Tesio (LS) in April. There could be something brewing good in this horse, with many fans noting its incredible performance at the Federico Tesio at Laurel Park.
