Betting on the Arkansas State Red Wolves 7-4 (-3.5)

The Arkansas State Red Wolves were hoping for a better bowl position but with finished 2-2 in their last four games, they are lucky enough to get a bowl bid right bowl. The Red Wolves finished the season third in the Sun Belt but could have done a whole lot better as the offensive unit was not consistent throughout the season.

However when the offense is consistent and rocking during the game, they are averaging around 500 yards of total offense with almost 40 points on the scoreboard. They are an elite team with just comparing their offense to any other top school as well. They are ranked 6th in the nation for most passing yards per game.

The high volume of passing is from Red Wolves quarterback Justice Hansen who has been picking apart defenses since the start of the season. Hansen would finish off the season with 34 touchdowns with averaging about 9 yards per pass.

If you thought the Blue Raiders had a passing attack, wait until the Red Wolves offense comes to life in this Camellia Bowl game. The Red Wolves have plenty of leadership in their wide receivers as this game was also come down to quarterback performance.

Betting on the Middle Tennessee Blue Raiders 6-6 (+3.5)

The MTSU Blue Raiders are ready to close out their CFB season in style as they are looking to win their second game in a row. Looking in the past a bit, the Raiders have won three of the last four games and are grateful for this invitation for this Bowl game. They finished the season barley with six wins as due to a quarterback injury almost saw their bowl hopes disappear early in the season.

Speaking of the quarterback play, Brent Stockstill will look to get the offense back into shape as he only returned in the past three games. Stockstill is slowly getting his rhythm back into shape as this Blue Raiders offense was not explosive without win.

They barley averaged around 24 points per game as this bowl invite was a surprise for most people. However with the bowl acceptance, they are going to showcase why they deserved it as they have a good defense to lean on. That same defense has been solid as of late only giving up 24 points per game and around 350 yards per game. The offense does not run the ball often, so this game will come down to whether Stockstill will be able to finish off the season perfectly.

Writer’s Prediction

I would generally side with the MTSU Blue Raiders, but without having their star quarterback for most of the season, I’m going to lean with the team that looked more like a bowl team. Even though both teams have a sub par defenses, I expect the Red Wolves to jump to an early lead and hang on all game. Pick: Arkansas State Red Wolves (-3.5)
