Entering as 43-point favorites, they decimated the UTEP Miners, 56-7, with an offensive performance that was close to perfection.<\/p>\n<p>Baker Mayfield was pretty much flawless, as he connected in 19 of his 20 throws for 329 yards and three touchdowns. His backup, Kyler Murray, stepped in and was also just as smooth, completing all but one of 11 passes, one of which being a TD.<\/p>\n<p>Big-play tight end Mark Andrews was the key man in the aerial attack, hauling in seven passes for 134 yards and a score (19.1 yards per catch). He will clearly be the new main target of the high-powered offense. The ground game registered 180 yards on 4.7 yards per carry and had four rushing TDs &#8211; all by different players. Abdul Adams, Marcelias Sutton, and Trey Sermon acted as the three main RBs, and they collectively ran for 6.7 yards per attempt.<\/p>\n<p>On defense, although no notable numbers were put up (one sack, four tackles for loss, and four pass deflections), they still walled the opposition pretty well. UTEP\u2019s QBs, for one, only gained 3.5 yards per pass attempt.<\/p>\n<p>Such a win should be good for the Sooners&#8217; confidence, as they are facing a Buckeyes team that dominated them last season, 45-24, AT HOME.<\/p>\n<h3>Betting on the Ohio State Buckeyes (<strong><a href=\"http:\/\/topbet.eu\/sportsbook\/football\/ncaa\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">-7.5<\/a><\/strong>)<\/h3>\n<p>The Buckeyes were also as advertised in their 2017 debut. After starting out slow and trailing by eight points midway into the second quarter, coach Urban Meyer and his men soon showcased why they are an elite squad. They trounced the Indiana Hoosiers, 49-21.<\/p>\n<p>A trio of great performances catapulted Ohio State&#8217;s surge &#8211; JT Barrett threw for 304 yards and three touchdowns, while also rushing for 61 and one score, JK Dobbins ran for 181 yards on 6.2 yards per carry, and Parris Campbell caught six passes for 136 yards and a TD grab.<\/p>\n<p>The defense did what they were supposed to against the Hoosiers&#8217; aggressive attack. The pass defense allowed 410 yards but also disrupted 11 passes and intercepted two, while the front seven suffocated the opposing RBs and only allowed 0.6 yards per carry. The pass-rush also tallied five sacks.<\/p>\n<p>All signs point to another Buckeyes victory this Saturday, as they are just as equipped as they were last season to again pound the Sooners. Being at their home field in Columbus is also a plus. Barrett, as you may remembered, starred in the 2016 meeting, throwing four touchdowns in just 14 completions, and also running for 74 yards.<\/p>\n<p>OSU has won eight straight at home (5-3
