They are coming off a 7-3 road win over the Red Sox to make a quick return to the win column. It was their sixth victory in seven games.<\/p>\n<p>The good stretch is mostly about the offense being on fire. In the past week, five Athletics &#8211; Khris Davis, Ryon Healy, Matt Champan, Matt Olson, and Boog Powell &#8211; are batting over .320, and they combine for eight home runs and 24 RBIs, and 26 runs in that span.<\/p>\n<p>Veteran infielder Jedd Lowrie isn&#8217;t as hot as his teammates as of late, but he&#8217;s been their most reliable hitter against the Red Sox this season, going 11-for-23 with two homers and six RBIs in six games.<\/p>\n<p>Whether it&#8217;s Lowrie, Davis, or anyone in the A&#8217;s roster, the batting will simply have to do a lot, because tomorrow&#8217;s probable starter on the mound, Daniel Gossett, can&#8217;t be expected to do much. The rookie hurler is just 4-8 with a 5.02 ERA, and this will be his first time matching up with Boston&#8217;s potent hitters.<\/p>\n<h3>Betting on the Boston Red Sox (82-63)<\/h3>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/topbet.eu\/sportsbook\/baseball\/mlb\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Moneyline: -210<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Wednesday&#8217;s 7-3 loss to the Athletics was the Red Sox&#8217;s second in seven games. It was also the most runs they have allowed in that stretch.<\/p>\n<p>There shouldn&#8217;t be concerns, obviously, as the &#8216;Sox are still leading the AL East and likely on their way for a second-consecutive playoff appearance.<\/p>\n<p>Also, like Oakland, the hitting has been commendable, with five men all batting above .333 in the last seven days. Mookie Betts, who has three homers and nine RBIs in the past week, and Dustin Pedroia, who is 13-for-27 against the A&#8217;s all year, are the most notable in that group.<\/p>\n<p>Drew Pomeranz will accompany those guys on defense. The sixth-year pro is 15-5 with a 3.35 ERA in 28 appearances this season, and the &#8216;Sox have won in six of his last seven starts.<\/p>\n<p>Pomeranz last matched up against the A&#8217;s last May 20th, where\u00a0Boston lost, 8-3 (he didn&#8217;t factor into the decision), and he ended up allowing two runs on five hits and no walks, while striking out six (across four
