Lipscomb can score a lot of points, but whether they could hang plenty of points on North Carolina is one big question. The Bisons are averaging 80.9 points per game on 45.5 percent shooting from the field, but mostly laid waste against unspectacular, rarely-heard teams. They did score over 70 points in an 81-71 loss to Tennessee in December, so that should breathe some hope into their chances of at least keeping in step with the Tar Heels. Junior guard Garrison Matthews is Lipscomb\u2019s best player. He is averaging 22.1 points per game, but he\u2019ll need more than that along with a ton of help from his teammates to upset North Carolina. Other than Matthews, only junior forward Rob Marberry is the only Bison averaging in double-digit scoring with 16.0 per outing.<\/span><\/p>\n

Betting on the North Carolina Tar Heels (25-10)<\/b><\/h3>\n

It\u2019s okay if they lost to Virginia in the ACC Finals. What\u2019s not going to be right is the Tar Heels losing to Lipscomb. North Carolina, of course, is well-equipped to send the Bisons hope and dreams crashing down. North Carolina has a much talented roster than Lipscomb (duh). Luke Maye spearheads the Tar Heels with his 17.2 points per game. Joel Berry II is as dependable as any player out there, as the senior guard is putting up 17.1 points, grabbing 3.5 rebounds, and dishing out 3.3 assists per game. Offense and rebounding are the two strength of the Tar Heels we expect his team to manifest against Lipscomb. North Carolina averages 82.0 points per game, which the Bison\u2019s defense that allows over 78 points per game \u00a0seem to be incapable of stopping. North Carolina also tops the entire Division I with 42.5 points per game. The Tar Heels are fifth in offensive rebounds with 12.1.<\/span><\/p>\n
