The Giants have wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. and running back Saquon Barkley, among the best in the league in their respective positions. That said, the Giants can\u2019t seem to find a way to utilize both of them perfectly, as what their 18.2 points per game average. That\u2019s the fourth-worst mark in the NFL thus far this season. Barkley only had 44 rushing yards and a touchdown on 10 carries, while Beckham only had 60 receiving yards on seven receptions. With tight end Evan Engram still not expected to return due to an MCL sprain, the Giants\u2019 offense has a grim outlook ahead of their showdown with the defensive-minded Panthers team.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Giants, however, have covered the spread in two of their last four games as an underdog by seven points or fewer.<\/span><\/p>\n

Betting on the Carolina Panthers (2-1)<\/strong><\/h3>\n

The Panthers are coming into this coming Sunday\u2019s date with the Giants as a well-rested team. Cam Newton and company are fresh off a bye in Week 4, which came after a 31-21 win over the Cincinnati Bengals in Week 3. Beating and limiting the high-powered offense of the Bengals is a loud and clear warning for the Giants\u2019 offense that\u2019s still trying to figure out a way to get it together. In the Bengals game, the Panthers picked Andy Dalton off four times and sacked him twice for a loss of 22 yards. Eli Manning could have a long day next week against this Panthers\u2019 stop unit that is averaging 2.o takeaways per game \u2013 sixth in the NFL so far this season. Carolina\u2019s pass rush is also 12<\/span>th<\/span> in the league with a 7.21 percent sack rate.<\/span><\/p>\n
