The Fire are on a skid, which they are looking to put a stop this coming Friday. By losing to the Cruz Azul in a League Cup match on Tuesday, Chicago extended its losing streak to five games. The Fire have also lost all of their past four MLS contests, a stretch that includes their 2-0 defeat at the hands of the Philadelphia Union on the road. Chicago trailed early in the Philadelphia game, but probably went too aggressive that the Fire got scored on again in the second half of the contest. They can find their form again and hopefully make their way back into the win column against DC by still pushing the action, where Chicago does seem to be very good at. In fact, the Fire is third in the entire MLS with 262 shots on goal and eighth overall with 34 goals. Chicago\u2019s defense isn\u2019t as dependable, though, as the team has given up 35 goals on the season.\u00a0 CJ Sapong leads the Fire with nine goals this season, while Nicolas Gaitan paces the Fire with eight assists.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Fire have won 11 games and scored 46 goals all-time at home against DC United.<\/span><\/p>\n

Betting on DC United (9-6-8)<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Following a convincing 4-1 road win over FC Cincinnati, DC United were confident heading into their match against Atlanta United FC that they could sustain their momentum. It did not turn out to be the case, though, as DC fell to Atlanta at Mercedes-Benz Stadium, 2-0. DC definitely missed the services of star Wayne Rooney, who did not play in the Atlanta game to recuperate from a few minor injuries. Without Rooney, DC did not have as much punch in their attacks and were even massively out-controlled by Atlanta, which had the ball\u2019s possession for 71.4 percent of the time. Despie the loss, DC goalkeeper was fantastic for most of the time in between the sticks, making four saves on six shots on goal by Atlanta. Hamid is the league leader in saves with 89 and is also second overall with a total of eight shutouts.<\/span><\/p>\n
