The Crimson Tide tasted their first loss of the season last Saturday, falling prey to their rivals LSU Tigers, 46-41. Tua Tagovailia returned from a one-game absence due to an injury by throwing for 418 passing yards and four touchdowns, but only completed 21 of 40 passes, got intercepted once, and had a fumble. That being said, it was nice for the Crimson Tide to see Tagovailoa healthy enough to play in a huge game and still deliver. It usually takes a perfect game from a great team to pull off a win against Alabama, let alone in Tuscaloosa, but that was what LSU was last Saturday, but it\u2019s hard to same the same about the Bulldogs, who lost to teams like the Tennessee Volunteers and Kansas State Wildcats. While the loss to LSU stings, that shouldn\u2019t diminish the threat of Alabama\u2019s elite offensive weapons around Tagovailoa like running back Najee Harris, who had 146 rushing yards and a touchdown despite not having a single carry in the second half of the LSU game. The Crimson Tide also has a talented wideout duo in DeVonta Smith and Jerry Jeudy, who had 213 and 77 receiving yard, respectively against the Tigers.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Crimson Tide are 3-1 <\/span>against the spread (ATS) <\/span>in their last four games against Mississippi State.<\/span><\/p>\n

Betting on the Mississippi State Bulldogs (4-5 Overall \/ 2-4 Conference)<\/strong><\/h3>\n

The Bulldogs finally ended a four-game losing skid last Saturday by taking down the Arkansas Razorbacks in Fayetteville, 54-24. The Bulldogs leaned on their ground game to steer them into the victory, as Kylin Hill erupted for 234 rushing yards and a trio of touchdowns on 21 carries. He got ample help from the rest of the backfield with Nick Gibson rushing for 129 yards and a touchdown, while quarterback Tommy Stevens had 74 yards on 15 carries. Mississippi State likes to run the ball more than pass it, and it won\u2019t be surprising to see the Bulldogs follow the same philosophy against Alabama, though, they will have to mix it up to at least keep their offense from getting too predictable. The Bulldogs also need to generate more pressure from their pass rush to prevent Tagovailoa from being too comfortable in the pocket. The Bulldog didn\u2019t record a sack in the Arkansas game and is last in the SEC with just 13.0 sacks.<\/span><\/p>\n
