Quarterback Bryce Perkins had his fingerprints all over Virginia\u2019s 39-30 home win over the Virginia Tech Hokies last Saturday that gave the Hoos the ACC Coastal title. Perkins passed for 311 yards and a touchdown with an interception on 20-of-33 completions, which wasn\u2019t really that mindblowing, but he was a monster on the ground. He led the team with 164 rushing yards and two scores on 19 carries in the win over the Hokies. Perkins can open up Virginia\u2019s passing attack by establishing the run himself first, as evidenced by his performance on Saturday. Perkins is the best-rushing quarterback in the ACC, entering the meeting with the Hokies 11th in the conference with 57.25 rushing yards per game to go with 11 rushing touchdowns. Clemson\u2019s defense is likely to slow Perkins down on the ground, but he\u2019s got Hasise Dubois to rely on in passing plays. Dubois, who is among the top ten receivers int he ACC in terms of receiving yards per game, had 139 receiving yards on four catches against Virginia Tech. Defensively, Virginia\u2019s pass rush will be a thing to worry about for Clemson, as the Cavaliers are averaging over three sacks per game. They had six against Virginia Tech.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Cavaliers are 4-0 straight-up (SU) and 3-1 against the spread (ATS) in their last four games overall.<\/span><\/p>\n

Betting on the Clemson Tigers (12-0 Overall \/ 8-0 Conference)<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Clemson is ready for the postseason. That much we can tell after the Tigers took down the South Carolina Gamecocks on the road last Saturday to the tune of a 38-3 score. It was a dominant performance on offense and defense for the defending ACC champions, who are peaking at just the right time. The Tigers have outscored their last opponents, 90-3, as they have also walloped the Wake Forest Demon Deacons on Nov. 16, 52-3. Quarterback Trevor Lawrence passed for 295 yards and three touchdowns on 26-of-36 completions and also led the team on the ground with 66 rushing yards on eight carries against South Carolina. Running back Travis Etienne was notably held down to just 51 rushing yards on 15 carries, but still got away with two rushing touchdowns. Lawrence, Etienne, together with wide receivers Justyn Ross and Tee Higgins form an imposing offensive four-man ensemble that is arguably the best in the nation, and each is capable of taking over the game and shattering Virginia\u2019s defense because the Cavaliers\u2019 defense will be constantly on their toes minding the other three.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
