For one, Perry is second in the FBS in rushing yards per game with 150.33 average and fourth in total rushing yards on the season with 1,804 to go along with 21 rushing touchdowns. Perry is the heart and soul of the Midshipmen and will live and die with him at the helm of their offense that was too much for the Army Black Knights in a 31-7 win on Dec. 14.<\/span><\/p>\n

After back-to-back losses to the Texas Longhorns and the West Virginia Mountaineers, the Wildcats regained their footing by scoring two consecutive victories over the Texas Tech Red Raiders and the Iowa State Cyclones to close out the regular season. Like the Midshipmen, Kansas State relies heavily on its ability to gut opposing defense with a rushing attack that ranks fourth in the Big 12 with 189.0 rushing yards per game. Quarterback Skylar Thompson is a dual-threat quarterback, who is second on the team with 402 rushing yards on the season to go with a team-leading 10 rushing scores. Even with his ability to run, Thompson draws more from his passing prowess than Navy\u2019s Perry. Thompson has 2,191 passing yards and 12 touchdowns, albeit, against five interceptions. The Wildcats has terrific ball security, as they have only turned the ball over 13 times this year, which includes just eight fumbles despite their propensity to run.<\/span><\/p>\n
