The Ducks had to have a perfect offensive game plan to get past Utah\u2019s tough defense. Fortunately for the Ducks, they did have one. Quarterback Justin Herbert passed for only 193 yards and a touchdown, but he did not have any turnovers. Running back CJ Verdell put up a monster performance by rushing for 208 yards and three touchdowns against the Utes. Perhaps the key for the Ducks against the Badgers is to establish their running game early. By doing so, they can shift Wisconsin\u2019s attention away from Herbert, who is among the top prospects in the 2020 NFL Draft. On the season, Herbert has 3,333 passing yards and 32 touchdowns against just five interceptions. This may not be a CFP game, but this is Herbert\u2019s last chance to make an impression in a competitive game on NFL scouts and boost his pro stock in the process, so don\u2019t expect him taking the Rose Bowl lightly.<\/span><\/p>\n

Betting on the Wisconsin Badgers (10-3 Overall \/ 7-2 Conference)<\/strong><\/h3>\n

The Badgers took a loss in the Big Ten Championship Game to no. 1 Ohio State Badgers, 34-21, but not before giving Justin Fields and company a scare. The Badgers were ahead at the half of that game by 14 points but just could not follow through in the final two quarters of the contest. Nevertheless, it showed how good the Badgers can be, especially on defense. The Badgers are eighth in the nation in scoring defense with just 16.1 points allowed per game and sixth in total defense with 295.2 total yards surrendered per contest. The Badgers also have four wins this season in which they held their opponents scoreless, including a 38-0 win over the Michigan State Spartans. Wisconsin\u2019s offense is competent, too. The Badgers are scoring 34.6 points per game and are 14th in the FBS with 241.2 rushing yards per outing, thanks in large part to running back Jonathan Taylor, who is third nationally with 146.85 rushing yards per game to go with 21 touchdowns.<\/span><\/p>\n
