The Raiders had a memorable start to their 2021 NFL campaign, as they defeated Lamar Jackson and the Baltimore Ravens at home Monday night, 33-27. It took Las Vegas everything out of Derek Carr’s arm to beat Baltimore. Carr went 34\/56 for 435 passing yards and a couple of touchdowns with an interception. Darren Waller was also sensational in that game, as he caught 10 passes for 105 receiving yards and a touchdown. Waller is going to be a problem for any opposing defense, including the Steelers, who allowed Buffalo Bills tight end Dawson Knox to come up with 41 receiving yards on just four catches. Expect the Raiders to get Waller the ball a lot, especially on third downs against Pittsburgh. The Steelers let Buffalo go 8\/18 on third downs in Week 1 and 371 total yards as well. Meanwhile, there are at least a few things to like about Las Vegas’ defense in Week 1 that the Raiders hope to carry into Week 2.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Maxx Crosby (2 sacks), Yannick Ngakoue, and Carl Nassib all came up with big defensive plays for the Raiders, who are 4-1 against the spread in their last five games as an underdog on the road.<\/span><\/p>\n

Betting on the Pittsburgh Steelers (-6<\/a><\/span>)<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Regular Season Record: 1-0<\/strong><\/h4>\n

The Steelers wrecked the day of Buffalo Bills fans who went to the game to watch their team in Week 1, as Ben Roethlisberger and company scored a 23-16 victory. But it was not Big Ben who carried the Steelers. It was Pittsburghs’ defense that made life the hardest in that game for Buffalo, which only had six points in the second half. Minkah Fitzpatrick and Devin Bush were flying all over the field, while Cameron Heyward and TJ Watt combined for three sacks. That pass rush is going to be huge for the Steelers against the Raiders’ clunky offensive line that allowed three sacks for a loss of 26 yards and seven quarterback hits against the Ravens. Rookie running back Najee Harris only averaged 2.8 yards per carry in Week 1, but Week 2 could be his breakout party, as Las Vegas’ defense got gashed for 189 rushing yards and two rushing scores by the Ravens.<\/span><\/p>\n
