Mark Adams\u2019 team is now 5-1 straight up in its last six games, and that includes Texas Tech\u2019s 75-67 home win over the Jayhawks on Jan. 8. What was even more impressive about that upset home victory by the Red Raiders was that they were missing key players in that game. Among them were leading scorers Terrence Shannon and Kevin McCullar. Good thing Bryson Williams and Clarence Nadolny stepped up and delivered 22 and 17 points, respectively. Well, both Shannon and McCullar are now back in action, so Texas Tech will be bringing a much-loaded lineup this time around to face Kansas in Lawrence. The Red Raiders will be banking on their stout defense that is fourth in the nation in adjusted defensive rating, with just 87.4 points allowed per 100 possessions, and a stellar offensive rebounding (13th in offensive rebounding rate).<\/p>\n

Ochai Agbaji continues to tear it up, with his offense. He scored 29 points on 10\/18 shooting from the field, including a clutch basket near the end of last Saturday\u2019s 78-75 victory over the Kansas State Wildcats on the road. With that win, the Jayhawks extended their win streak to four games \u2013 which started after they lost to the Red Raiders. Agbaji is going to be a problem even for Texas Tech\u2019s elite defense. He scattered 24 points on 7\/12 shooting from the field and 6\/9 shooting from deep in the first meeting with the Red Raiders, He has scored at least 20 points in four of his last five games, in three of which, he shot over 50 percent from the field. With them playing at home this Monday, the Jayhawks are looking to shoot much better than the last time they faced Texas Tech. Kansas is third in the nation in adjusted offensive efficiency with 121.5 points per 100 possessions and 13th in effective field goal percentage.<\/p>\n
