Senior wide receiver Devon Cajuste was the beneficiary of Stanford\u2019s free-flowing offense as he snagged a career-high three three touchdowns as he finished the game with 52 receiving yards.<\/p>\n In fact, the Cardinal had a huge 216-9 passing yard edge against the Black Knights once the dust settled. Much of the credit for that goes to the Stanford defense which for the third-straight game was once again spectacular.<\/p>\n For the second time in three games, the Cardinal defense was able to register a shutout. They have allowed just a total of 10 points in their first three assignments as they look to be in peak form ahead of their meeting with the Huskies.<\/p>\n Even Stanford\u2019s rushing defense was on cue last Saturday as they limited an Army team, that rushed for 341 yards and seven touchdowns in their opener against Buffalo, to only 198 yards in this game.<\/p>\n That is crucial when tackling Washington this coming Saturday as the Huskies\u2019 main source of offense this season has come from the running game. Much of the responsibility will fall to their sophomore quarterback Cyler Miles who, after a sluggish start, performed admirably against the Panthers, completing 19-of-27 passes for 154 yards and three touchdowns.<\/p>\n Miles has guided a Washington offense that is averaging an impressive 41.3 points per game this season.<\/p>\n Aside from Miles, Petersen will be pinning his hopes on his running attack which has been exemplary this early in the season.
