After breezing through their opening four non-conference games and winning by an average of 30 points, the Rebels began conference play by bringing down the No. 3-ranked Alabama Crimson Tide at home, 23-17, putting themselves very much in contention for the College Football Playoff. The 5-0 Rebs are also a perfect 5-0 covering the spread this season.<\/p>\n<p>[sc:NCAA240banner ]Ole Miss has cracked the top three in the rankings this week, but its defense is arguably No. 1 in the nation already. The Rebels had given up just 8.5 points per game in their first four games before essentially neutering an Alabama offense that had been averaging 42 points and close to 600 yards to just 17 and 396 on Saturday.<\/p>\n<p>Their pass defense clinched the upset win with a late interception, already their 10<sup>th<\/sup> pick in five games. That terrific unit looks well-prepped to contain another explosive offense in Texas A&amp;M, whose quarterback has been much too generous in giving the ball away in recent weeks.<\/p>\n<p>The Rebels\u2019 own quarterback, Bo Wallace, has also been a little careless throwing the football, with six INTs in his first four games. But the senior was much more careful against Alabama as he threw three TDs with no picks. Hill had by far the worst game of his young college career as he threw three interceptions, making it three straight games he\u2019s thrown at least one pick.<\/p>\n<p>After struggling against a Mississippi State defense that hasn\u2019t been particularly terrific against the pass, Hill could have an even tougher time throwing against an Ole Miss defense that\u2019s one of the best in the nation in pass defense. If Hill has another multiple-turnover game like he did against the Bulldogs, the Aggies won\u2019t stand much of a chance.<\/p>\n<p>But despite his struggles, Hill still managed to throw for 365 yards and four touchdown passes, his fourth four-TD game in six games. Hill has distributed the wealth among his receiving corps (six receivers have 12 or more catches)\u00a0very well this season, which should prevent the Ole Miss defense from keying in on just one target.<\/p>\n<p>On the other side of the ball, the Texas A&amp;M defense will be happy to not be facing a top rushing team this week. Ole Miss doesn\u2019t rely on the run as heavily as Arkansas or Mississippi State, who gashed the Aggies for over 560 combined rushing yards in the last two weeks.<\/p>\n<p>However, its secondary will be under scrutiny against the Rebels. That unit didn\u2019t perform as well in its first and so far only test this year when it allowed 366 yards and four touchdowns to South Carolina in Week 1.<\/p>\n<p>Texas A&amp;M has failed to cover in four of its last six home games dating back to November 2013.<\/p>\n<h3>Writer\u2019s Prediction<\/h3>\n<p>Ole Miss finds it much tougher to replicate its great play on the road as Hill and the Aggies (<a href=\"http:\/\/topbet.eu\/sportsbook\/college-football\/ncaa\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>-3<\/strong><\/a>) offense fires on all cylinders to deliver a big home
