That\u2019s now the Sooners\u2019 12th-straight win, matching the second-best start in school history.<\/p>\n<p>[sc:NCAAB240banner ]Oklahoma\u2019s Buddy Hield held his own in his matchup with Iowa State\u2019s star senior Georges Niang. The star guard had 22 points to lead the Sooners in scoring once again. Hield has played up to his status as a preseason All-American, and is No. 4 in the nation with 24.7 points per game.<\/p>\n<p>However, the Sooners are much more than just a one-man team. They\u2019re also getting outstanding contributions from their two other seniors, Isaiah Cousins and Ryan Spangler, as well as junior Jordan Woodard. The Jayhawks, the No. 2 three-point shooting team in the country (46 percent) knocked down 11-of-19 from behind the arc. Wayne Selden Jr. went 5-of-6 as his 24 points led all Jayhawks.<\/p>\n<p>Since Kansas\u2019 close loss to Michigan State in the Champions Classic, Kansas has played like the incredibly deep and experience-laden team that most were expecting to be a possible championship team this season.<\/p>\n<p>Hardly any team has even been able to keep within striking distance of the Jayhawks. That\u2019s been especially true in their last six games, where they\u2019re averaging 85 PPG and have been blowing teams out by an average of 27.7 points.<\/p>\n<p>Kansas is ranked No. 7 in both adjusted offensive and defensive efficiency so far this season, one of just two teams ranked in the top 10 in both categories. The other team, of course, is Oklahoma. That should make this matchup much more evenly-contested than the ones Kansas has been part of lately.<\/p>\n<p>However, the Jayhawks do hold the edge in terms of home-court advantage, which has proven to be very effective against Oklahoma.
