Health troubles continue to plague the Bears who lost QB Jay Cutler to a groin injury he suffered in Chicago\u2019s 45-41 loss to the Redskins in Week 7. It was the latest letdown for Chicago, who have dropped three of their last four games \u2013 a disappointing development given that the Bears opened up their season 3-0 SU.\u00a0[sc:NFL240banner ]<\/p>\n
For now, coach Marc Trestman will have to pin the quarterbacking duties to backup Josh McCown. The 11-year veteran will be making just his second start against Green Bay in his career. The last time he started versus the Packers, McCown went 19-of-28 for 242 yards with a pair of TDs in a 35-21 Bears loss back in 2011.<\/p>\n
McCown takes over a capable offense that knows how to deliver the points. Chicago is the second best scoring team in the NFL, recording an average of 30.4 points per game. That and a suspect defense that allows opponents to rack up 29.4 points per game partly explain how the Bears have gone OVER in the totals in six of their seven games this season.<\/p>\n
