Recap: A rookie placekicker stole the show in the 1981 Pro Bowl. Eddie Murray, who played for the Detroit Lions, made four field goals and won the MVP award to help the NFC defeat the AFC, 21-to-7. Murray had already 3 field goals after the first half when the NFC led, 9-to-7. The AFC couldn’t find their offense as the NFC poured it on in the final two quarters.
