College Football Overview
The National Collegiate Athletics Association (NCAA) is an organization of athletic programs in colleges and universities in the United States and its current headquarters is in Indianapolis, Indiana. One of the sports overseen by the organization is college football, which has a healthy following in the United States where the sport enjoys a high popularity both at the amateur and professional level. NCAA Football has multiple divisions; Division I-A, Division I-AA, Division II and Division III. The first two, also known as the Football Bowl Subdivision (FBS) and Football Championship Subdivision (FBS), respectively, has the highest level of amateur football in the country. [betnow] While other sports use a playoff system to decide a champion, NCAA Football has a series of bowl games to decide its own in a postseason event called the Bowl Champions Series (BCS) including the finale, the BCS National Championship Game.
