That’s because the 2022 BMW Championship’s payout sum is now up to $15 million, with the winner set to pocket $2.7 million. That’s more than double the $7 million the tournament had as a total purse the first time it was staged in 2007. In that inaugural BMW Championship, the total payout was just $7 million.
