[sc:Football ]2015 NFL Week 8 Fantasy Sleepers
Danny Amendola – Wide Receiver, New England Patriots
[sc:NFL240banner ]So that’s two-straight solid outings for the New England Patriots’ Danny Amendola. He’s compiled a total of 191 yards with a touchdown on 15 receptions in that stretch to help his team stay unbeaten thus far this 2015-16 regular season. Furthermore, he’s torched the scoreboard with 24 valuable points and is going to be a worthy pick up in deep leagues if he keeps this up.
In a long-term perspective, however, Amendola will be a huge risk especially with Brandon LaFell, who made his season debut on Sunday, stealing a good share of looks as well.
Darren McFadden – Running back, Dallas Cowboys
Despite the loss to the Giants, the Cowboys have something to smile about moving forward. They finally got some production from running back Darren McFadden. McFadden, who was forced into action after Joseph Randle sustained an oblique injury during Sunday’s game, carried the ball for a whopping 29 times for 152 yards and a touchdown.
That kind of performance finally earned the confidence of head coach Jason Garrett, who decided to make the 28-year-old the starting running back for their Week 8 matchup against the Seahawks. Another 100-yard game could happen if McFadden receives the same volume a touches once again.
Eric Ebron – Tight End, Detroit Tigers
Eric Ebron returned to action after a two-game absence on Sunday against the Vikings. He quickly made his presence felt by hauling in five passes off of five targets for 89 yards and added a seven-yard touchdown.
Despite missing some time, Ebron has been very effective whenever he steps on the field. The 22-year-old tight end has had at least four catches on five targets in all the games he’s played this season. He also reached the end zone three times during that stretch.
Tony Romo – Quarterback, Dallas Cowboys
Another Cowboy makes it into our fantasy sleepers list and his name is Tony Romo. He’s been recovering from a broken collarbone and is expected to make his return within a month. That being the case, fantasy owners who have an extra spot on the bench to spare or a free IR spot should already start thinking about picking up the 35-year-old quarterback.
But if you are badly in need of a back-up signal caller to replace you starter, who’s on bye. The Bucs’ Jameis Winston is probably the answer for you. Winston has been very efficient in his last two games, during which he’s accumulated 506 yards with three touchdowns and a 70.8 passer rating.
Robbie Gould – Kicker, Chicago Bears
If you’re current kicker has been disappointing you lately, then you might want to replace him with the Bears’ Robbie Gould. Gould has been very accurate this season, making all of his 15 field goal attempts thus far. His lone missed kick came from a block extra-point attempt against the Raiders in Week 4.
Atlanta Falcons Defense
Atlanta’s defense has significantly improved in their first year under new head coach Dan Quinn. They’re coming off a solid defensive effort against the Titans, as they limited their opponents to just seven points while forcing two turnovers and a sack. Plus, a repeat of this performance isn’t far off as they’ll be facing a turnover-prone Buccaneers squad this coming Monday.
