The field of racers that remains in pursuit of the Sprint Cup Series title was cut down to size again following the race in Alabama last Sunday. Joey Logano and Jimmie Johnson are the clear favorites but don’t sleep on the following drivers we have listed below.

Martin Truex
Truex’s chances of winning the Chase went straight out of window in Talladega last Sunday no thanks to an engine trouble that forced him to leave the race after just 41 laps. Regardless of Truex’s fate back in Talladega, he’s still a decent play for bettors looking to score on a sleeper. Truex has flirted with success in Ridgeway before, as he has finished sixth twice in the last three times he raced there.
Carl Edwards
Edwards is currently sitting fifth in the Chase standings, which is actually a one-notch demotion, after a poor 29th place finish in Talladega. That said, Edwards is among the most experienced drivers at Martinsville with 30 career races at the track. He’s also won there before, when he zoomed to first place of the 2011 version of Goody’s Headache Relief Shot 500.
Kurt Busch
Like Edwards, Busch also knows a thing or two about winning in Ridgeway. Busch, who was fourth last Sunday in Alabama, ha a pair of career victories at the Martinsville Speedway and five top 10’s overall. That stretch includes his 13th-place finish there during last spring’s STP 500. He’s also rounding into form, as evidenced by three top 10 finishes in his last four races overall.
