College football is now deep in conference games and so far it has completely been bonkers. Week 6 was no different, with lots of upsets and surprises happening to shake order in the polls. And while we await for what’s in store for us in Week 7, let’s take a look at three underdogs who are capable of at least covering the spread this Saturday.

2016 NCAA Football Week Seven Sleepers Predictions
Iowa State Cyclones vs. Texas Longhorns
Where: Darrell K Royal-Texas Memorial Stadium, Austin
Date and Time: Saturday, October 15, 7:00 PM ET
Line: Iowa State Cyclones (+14) vs. Texas Longhorns (-14) – view all NCAA Football odds and lines
Just last week, we had Texas here as sleeper and the Longhorns made us look good by covering their 10-point spread as underdogs in a 45-40 loss to Oklahoma. We’re changing tunes this week, though, as we’re choosing the Iowa State to cover the spread against the Longhorns.
These are two programs moving in opposite directions. While the Cyclones have won just one game thus far, their previous two losses showed marked improvements, covering the spread against then No. 13 Baylor and Oklahoma State while averaging 39 points.
Texas, meanwhile, is in free fall, having lost all of its past three assignments, making their 2-0 start to the season seem like an eternity ago. Moreover, the 14-point spread looks tastier for Cyclones backers when considering the fact that they are 3-0 ATS in the last three meetings with Texas.
Prediction: Texas wins, 35-28.
Nebraska Cornhuskers vs. Indiana Hoosiers
Where: Memorial Stadium, Bloomington
Date and Time: Saturday, October 15, 3:30 PM ET
Line: Nebraska Cornhuskers (-4) vs. Indiana Hoosiers (+4) – view all NCAA Football odds and lines
Watch out for the Hoosiers. Indiana has looked like a landmine for ranked teams of late, particularly since the start of Big Ten play. Indiana is 1-1 in the conference, upsetting No. 17 Michigan State (24-21 OT) and losing by a relatively close margin against No. 2 Ohio State (38-17) last week.
Indiana was behind by only seven points in the Ohio State game at some point in the third quarter so look for the Hoosiers to make this Saturday’s game tighter against a Nebraska squad, which isn’t as talented as the Buckeyes. Indiana is also 3-0 ATS in its last three games as an underdog.
Prediction: Nebraska wins, 31-28.
Utah Utes vs. Oregon State Beavers
Where: Reser Stadium, Corvallis
Date and Time: Saturday, October 8, 3:30 PM ET
Line: Utah Utes (-9) vs. Oregon State Beavers (+9) – view all NCAA Football odds and lines
Save for a 28-23 loss to California in Week 5, the Utes have coasted thus far this year, as they are 5-1 overall heading into Saturday’s match with Oregon State. What the record and the box scores don’t tell, however, is that Utah has had bad starts in its first three Pac-12 games.
In fact, they’ve trailed by at least two touchdowns in each of their contests against USC, California, and Arizona. That sounds like hope for the Beavers, who are coming off a morale-boosting 47-44 overtime victory over the Golden Bears last week.
Prediction: Utah wins, 28-21.
