Charley Hoffman (+2,500)

Ranked 23rd in the FedEx Cup with 966, Hoffman will be charging into Bethesda looking for just his second win of the season. Despite Hoffman’s dearth of first-place trophies this year, Hoffman is a tasty sleeper to lay money on. For one, his lone victory on the season wasn’t long ago—he topped the Valero Texas Open just last April—and it’s starting to feel like he’s getting his groove back. While he missed the cut in The Players Championship, he was still able to finish in the top 12 in two of five tournaments since reigning supreme in Texas.

Roberto Castro (+4,000)

Castro is another player who carries tons of value bettors looking for sleepers may want to check out. Castro, who went to Georgia Tech in college, has been one of the best-kept secrets in the PGA Tour of late. While he has yet to win this season, he began to turn heads when he finished solo second at the Wells Fargo Championship. He placed just T65 at the Dean & Deluca Invitational, but rebounded with a strong T11 at the Memorial.

Webb Simpson (+4,000)

Like Castro, Simpson is beginning to heat up. Simpson has yet to taste a title this season but the 2012 US Open champion came close to winning at the Dean & Deluca Invitational with a T3, which was followed with a T11 at the Memorial. If you need more encouragement to bet on Simpson, consider that the North Carolina native has three top 35 finishes at Congressional, which includes a T14 at the national open five years ago.
