Marc Leishman (+5,500)
Brendan Steele
Like to Leishman, Steele is still searching for his first title this year and only has one top 10 to show. Nevertheless, Steele has played consistently over his past six starts, in which he managed to gather four top 20s. He had back-to-back top 20s in June, when he had a T20 at the Memorial and a T15 at the U.S. Open. His latest start wasn’t as spectacular, notching just a T39 at the Quicken Loans National but considering his general performance of late, Steele should be able to play better than what his odds suggest.
Kevin Chappell (+7,500)
Chappell could use a bounce back performance now. Chappell was mildly expected by a few experts to have a good showing at the U.S. Open, but missed the cut at Oakmont. Chappell should remain in our radars, however, because it’s still hard to know where he might just rise to the occasion. Chappell had a surprising second-place finish at the Players Championship. He also finished fourth at the Valero Texas Open back in April.
