Sports Chat Place’s all-around sports expert Randy Chambers is all praises for Dale Earnhardt Jr., and believes that this may be the right time to put some money on the future Hall-of-Famer. Earnhardt Jr., a second generation star, will be coming off two straight top 10 finishes, which Chambers likes since it’s the best stretch the racer has for awhile. He added that with this one likely to be Junior’s last hurrah in Daytona, we may see him “lay it all out there.”
FOX Sport’s Chad Robb mirrors some of Chambers’ thoughts, as he is high on Earnhardt Jr. since there is a trend of legendary racers being successful in their latter events, noting the victories of Jeff Gordon in Richmond in 2015 and Tony Stewart last year. Robb then went on to say that Junior is the best Daytona driver of his time.
Earnhardt Jr. has won this event twice, and has been inside the top eight in six of his last 11 appearances at Daytona.
