2017 Dean & DeLuca Expert Picks and Predictions

EXPERT PICKS
Randy Chambers Jordan Spieth, Matt Kuchar

Chambers thinks Spieth hasn’t been playing on par with the tall standards that are set for him. However, that wouldn’t hinder him from picking the golf superstar to win the event.

It’s could prove to be a good pick, though. Spieth still has five top 10 finishes on the season, and is ranking inside the top five in birdie average, greens in regulation percentage, and scoring average. He’s also the champion last year and the runner-up in 2015.

Kuchar, on the other hand, is fresh off a top 10 finish at the Byron Nelson. He now has a trio of such finishes in his last 15 events, and he has two top six finishes in the Dean & DeLuca since 2013.

EXPERT PICKS
Derek Clements Jason Dufner

Similar to our previous expert, Clements is picking a golfer that has seen his fair share of struggles lately, although it’s still a very reasonable pick. Dufner, who finished second in the Dean & DeLuca in 2012 and 2014, had an ugly outing at the RBC Heritage and Player Championship before being able to redeem himself for a bit in the Zurich Classic.

It was enough for Clements, saying that Dufner’s form has been really good in months past, even labeling him as “the world’s happiest golfer” and “the man to beat.”

EXPERT PICKS
Alec Brzezinski Ryan Palmer, Jason Dufner, Matt Kuchar, Sergio Garcia, Jon Rahm

Palmer – has three top 5 finishes in his last five events.

Garcia – has a T-20 and a  T-30 in his last two starts, which was a good follow up to his Masters title.

Rahm – has a title and four top five finishes this season, and should be expected to contend deep almost every event.
