Chambers likes what he’s seeing from Konta, who’s 20-3 overall this year, courtesy of a title run (Miami Masters) and a quarterfinals berth at the Australian Open. He believes that she’s on her way into continually improving on the clay.
As for Venus, Chambers noted that she’s dangerous and can suddenly burst out of nowhere to tally a string of wins, as evidenced in her performance in the Australian Open and being 14-5 on the season.

Caroline Wozniacki, Svetlana Kuznetsova
Allen still has high hopes for the number 18 Wozniacki. He indicated that he likes her consistency, speed, and experience against most of the ladies. The Danish, as you may remember, has held the top spot in the women’s division for a combined 67 weeks.
The usually underrated Kuznetsova, meanwhile, earned Allen’s pick because he sees her as “dangerous” and “very competitive.” It might’ve also helped that she captured the event in 2009. She’s 20-8 on the clay in the last two years.
With no one really talking about her, Maderi believes that Kuznetsova will thrive being an under-the-radar competitor in the event. He thought that the former French Open champion appears to be relaxed as of late, seemingly enjoying the ride of his current run. Further, Maderi said that it wouldn’t be surprising if she comes out on top in the tournament.
