The 2018 Kentucky Derby allots a total of $2 million for the top five finishers of the race with the winner taking home an astounding share worth $1.24 million or almost as much as what Los Angeles Lakers rookie Kyle Kuzma earned this season ($1.42 million). Before 2005, only the top four finishers could receive a cut of the pie.
Justify is currently the favorite to win the 20178 Kentucky Derby with odds of +250, while Bold D’ oro, (+350)  Mendelssohn (+450), and Audible (+600) are also among the top contenders.
