The 31-year-old has fond memories of this event, winning this tournament back in 2011. He also nabbed a ninth-place finish in this event in 2014. Simpson is starting to rediscover his old form, finishing in the top-13 in two of his last six starts. With the Ryder Cup just around the corner, don’t be surprised to see Simpson deliver a performance for the ages at TPC Boston this week.
Another golfer who can definitely make a strong run at the Deutsche Bank Championship this week is Brooks Koepka. The American has been playing some outstanding golf of late, finishing in the top-13 in five of his last six starts, including runner-up finishes at the Byron Nelson and FedEx St. Jude Classic. Key to Koepka’s resurgence has been his solid play with the driver. He is 18th in the PGA Tour in driving distance, averaging 303.0 yards per drive this season. That powerful swing will be a major weapon for Koepka when tackling the long 7,297-yard, par-71 TPC Boston course.
