PGATour.com (Rob Bolton)

Sleeper Picks
Danny Lee
Robert Garrigus
Seung-Yul Noh
Brandon Hagy
Fabrizio Zanotti

For PGATour.com’s Rob Bolton, one name immediately jumps into mind when it comes to the sleeper front for this week’s AT&T Byron Nelson. And that name is Danny Lee. The transplanted local is 4-for-5 with three top 20s and a scoring average of 68.61 at the AT&T Byron Nelson. Thirteen of Lee’s 18 rounds in Las Colinas have been under par. He’s definitely worth a punt at +10,000.

Seung-Yul Noh is another golfer who has caught the eye of Bolton. He’s playing some excellent golf at the moment, carding top-22 finishes in each of his last two starts. He finished tied for fifth at the Wells Fargo Championship before bagging a T22 at last week’s Players Championship. The South Korean will be making his fourth appearance at the Byron Nelson this week. He’s pegged at +8,000 to end his title drought at Las Colinas.

Brandon Hagy’s another guy who’s playing some solid golf as we speak. The 26-year-old is 10-for-14 with a trio of top 25s this season. He was superb in his last start at the Wells Fargo, finishing tied for 18th with a four-under-par total of 284. His odds of winning the Byron Nelson are priced at +10,000

Rounding out Bolton’s sleeper selection is Fabrizio Zanotti. The Paraguayan is currently 10th in the Race to Dubai standings. Zanotti captured the imagination of golf fans with his victory in Malaysia three months ago and he will look to replicate that feat in the PGA Tour this week. He is pegged at +8,000 to win the AT&T Byron Nelson.

The Sports Geek (Alex Hunter)

Sleeper Picks
Smylie Kaufman
Anirban Lahiri
Nick Watney

Looking for a worthy sleeper? How about Smylie Kaufman? He is in a rich vein of form, nabbing top-12s in each of his last two starts. Kaufman finished tied for fifth at the Wells Fargo Championship before recording a T12 at last week’s Players Championship. Par-4 scoring will be crucial this week and Kaufman has been tearing it up lately when it comes to this department. He is third in par four scoring of all players on Tour who have competed over the last six weeks. He is pegged at +6,000 to win the AT&T Byron Nelson this week.

Alex Hunter also favors Anirban Lahiri to do well this week. He finished with a T46 in his first attempt at the Byron Nelson last season. Before Lahiri missed the cut at the Players last week, he was playing some consistent golf, making 8-of-10 cuts for the season, including four top 25s. His odds of winning the Byron Nelson are priced at +10,000.

Rounding out Hunter’s sleeper picks is Nick Watney. He believes Watney’s experience in this tournament will be the difference this weekend. Watney has two top-1os in this event, finishing tied for eighth in 2011 and tied for 10th in 2015. For the season, Watney is ranked 44th in driving distance, 58th in GIR percentage, and 28th in strokes gained approaching the green. He’s listed at +8,000 to shock the world this week.
