Best NBA Teams to Bet On – January 22

The Indiana Pacers are once again showing why they own the best record in the NBA with another flawless week. Their supposed Eastern Conference competition, the Brooklyn Nets, are picking up steam, much like scoring machine Kevin Durant and his streaking Oklahoma City Thunder.

Here are the top 5 NBA teams to bet on

TEAMS TRENDS
Indiana Pacers 5-0 SU & ATS in last 5 games
Brooklyn Nets 7-1 SU & ATS in last 8 games
Los Angeles Lakers 5-0 ATS/Over in last 5 games
Oklahoma City Thunder 5-1 SU & ATS in last 6 games
Chicago Bulls Over 5-1 in last 6 games

1. Indiana Pacers

The team with the NBA’s best record is back at it. After a slip up in Atlanta, the Indiana Pacers have reeled off five straight wins to improve their record in 2014 to 8-2 SU.

Their defense remains airtight – they haven’t allowed 100 points since the first week of December – and Paul George (28.8 PPG in his last four games) has rediscovered his shooting touch after a mild New Year’s hangover.

2. Brooklyn Nets

2014 has brought an entirely rejuvenated Brooklyn Nets team. Even without Brook Lopez, the return of Andrei Kirilenko and Deron Williams from injury has helped boost the Nets up the Eastern Conference standings.

Brooklyn has gone a very tidy 7-1 SU and ATS in its last 8 games, with big wins against the Thunder, Warriors and Heat already this month.

3. Los Angeles Lakers

No one’s making much money on the Lakers’ money line these days, but LA has been very consistent against the spread and with the total this week.

Despite going just 2-3 SU, the Lakers were 5-0 ATS as their three losses were only by a combined 11 points. Furthermore, the all offense no defense D’Antoni-coached team has been in some shootouts recently, going 5-0 on the over.

4. Oklahoma City Thunder

Kevin Durant is a machine. The All-Star forward is averaging an insane 36 PPG this January, including four games of 45+ points. His scoring has definitely been a major factor in the Thunder’s current run – 6-1 SU/ATS in the last 7 games – to climb back to 2nd in the Western Conference.

5. Chicago Bulls

Who needs Derrick Rose and Luol Deng? The Chicago Bulls aren’t missing their MVP guard’s and All-Star caliber forward’s scoring – not right now, at least.

Chicago is second to last in scoring, but they have exploded for four 100-point games in their last six games. The Bulls are giving up a little extra on the other end as well, resulting in the over going 5-1 in the last six games.
