FAVORITES
Dustin Johnson (+550)
Johnson has been on fire of late. He’s made the cut in all of his past four starts with three top 2s in three of those events. Among them was a win at The Northern Trust and a runner-up finish in last week’s BMW Championship. Johnson has two wins and six top 10s in 13 starts this season. He’s got five top 10s in 10 starts at East Lake GC.
Jon Rahm (+550)
Rahm has momentum going for him, as he just won the BMW Championship last week. That succeeded a tied-for-sixth finish at The Northern Trust and a tied-for-13th placing at the PGA Championship. Rahm also won at the Memorial Tournament last July. In three starts at East Lake since 2017, Rahm has not finished worse than 12th.
Justin Thomas (+750)
Thomas will enter the competition at East Lake as the only one with three wins to date on the season. He nailed his last win early last August when he topped the field at the World Golf Championships-FedEx St. Jude Invitational. He’s never finished worse than seventh in any of his last four starts at East Lake GC.
HIGH-VALUE SLEEPERS
Kevin Na (+6600)
Na has made the cut 14 times in 20 starts this season and has featured in the top 10 four times. His best showing to date this season was a win at the Shriners Hospitals for Children Open way back in October of last year. He also had a solo ninth-place finish at the Memorial Tournament last July.
Tony Finau (+1800)
Finau has been solid since finishing solo eighth at the Memorial Tournament, as he’s also collected a T4 at the PGA Championship and a solo-fifth place at the BMW Championship. Last year, Finau finished seventh at the TOUR Championship at East Lake GC.
LONG SHOTS
Cameron Champ (+12500)
Champ gets a ticket to the TOUR Championship thanks to his win at the Safeway Open back in September of 2019, nine top 25s, and two top 10s in 19 starts this season. Champ is second overall on the season in both driving distance (322.2) and strokes gained: off-the-tee (.990).
Cameron Smith (+9000)
Smith has made the cut in all of his last five starts after missing all the previous three tournaments. At the BMW Championship, Smith managed to finish tied for 20th despite carding 75 and 73 in the first two rounds, respectively.
Writer’s Prediction
Justin Thomas wins the 2020 TOUR Championship.
