FAVORITES

Jon Rahm (+900)

Rahm is still winless this season, but no one’s forgetting about him. He just had a T10 in the WM Phoenix Open to extend his streak of made cuts to four starts. On the season, Rahm has a pair of top 3s, which includes his solo runner-up finish in the Sentry Tournament of Champions back in January. Rahm has a solid, albeit slim, track record at The Riviera Country Club, where he is 3 of 3 with two top 10s.

Patrick Cantlay (+1400)

Cantlay is smoking hot this season and that’s despite not having won anything yet, just like Rahm. Cantlay nearly scored a win last Sunday but he settled for a runner-up finish behind Scottie Scheffler in the WM Phoenix Open. Even though he missed winning the crown in that tournament, Cantlay ensured that his streak of top-10 finishes continues. Prior to the WM Phoenix Open, Cantlay had a T4 in the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am. He is 4 of 6 with three top 15s in his career at The Riviera Country Club.

Justin Thomas (+1800)

Winner of 14 PGA TOUR events, Thomas is also in solid form heading into the 2022 Genesis Invitational. Thomas is coming off a T8 in the WM Phoenix Open to keep his streak of made cuts alive to start the season. His best finish to date so far in this campaign is a solo third-place performance in the World Wide Technology Championship at Mayakoba in November 2021. His career track record at The Riviera Country Club is a mixed bag with a couple of cuts and two top 10s in seven total starts there.

HIGH-VALUE SLEEPERS

Corey Conners (+8000)

After missing the cut two times in a row, Conners finally made it to the weekend when he finished with a T38 in the 2022 WM Phoenix Open. Conners had a decent 2020 season in which he had four top 10s in 25 starts. With him coming back to life in his most recent outing, Conners could be primed to have a hot streak going forward, beginning this week at The Riviera Country Club, where he is 0 of 2 all-time.

Lanto Griffin (+7500)

Griffin had not made it to the top 20 in any of his two career starts at The Riviera Country Club, but with the season he is having, it won’t be surprising if he finally does it this week. Griffin is 8 of 9 with three top 10s. He is also coming off a T16 in the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am, so momentum is definitely there for the 33-year-old pro out of California.

LONG SHOTS

Rickie Fowler (+15000)

Fowler is looking to end a slump that saw him miss all of his last three starts. He is also just 3 of 7 this season, but he did have a T3 in THE CJ CUP @ SUMMIT last October.

Cam Davis (+15000)

Davis has missed the cut in five of nine starts this season, but he is 3 of 4 in his last four starts. That includes his T10 in the Sentry Tournament of Champions in January.

Writer’s Prediction

Patrick Cantlay wins the 2022 Genesis Invitational.
