FAVORITES
Kyle Larson (+400)
Larson is coming off a win at the All-Star Race, which means that he’s got a pair of top-2 finishes over his last three starts. The other was a runner-up performance at the 2023 AdventHealth 400 at Kansas Speedway earlier this month. Larson has two wins and five top 5s so far this season. Larson also has a career average finish of 16.8 in 13 career starts at Charlotte Motor Speedway.
William Byron (+600)
The Hendricks Motorsports driver cooled off last week when he finished only 20th at the All-Star Race, but he’s definitely still one of the top drivers to watch out for. He has three wins this season with six top 5s and seven top 10s. He has also cracked the top 10 in four of his last five starts overall. Byron has odds of +700 to win the 2023 NASCAR Series Cup championship.
Denny Hamlin (+700)
After winning the 2023 AdventHealth 400, Hamlin has posted 12th place and 13th finishes at the 2023 Goodyear 400 and 2023 NASCAR All-Star Race, respectively. Hamlin has a strong resume at Charlotte Motor Speedway, where he has a win and 11 top 5s in 31 career starts. He also has a career average finish of 11.9 at the said track.
SLEEPERS
Kyle Busch (+1200)
Here’s what we have to say about Busch in our 2023 Coca-Cola 600 sleepers piece:
With two wins already this season, Busch will look to add more to his total this season when he revs his engine this coming weekend at the Charlotte Motor Speedway. In addition to his pair of wins this year, Busch has six top 10s and three top 5s. Busch has cracked the top five in six of his last seven starts at Charlotte Motor Speedway, and that stretch includes his win there at the 2018 Monster Energy NASCAR All-Star Race.
Joey Logano (+1600)
Here’s what we have to say about Logano in our 2023 Coca-Cola 600 sleepers piece:
Ranked eight so far this season with 334 points, Logano has made 24 starts at the Charlotte Motor Speedway in his NASCAR Cup Series career. Of those starts, he won once and finished inside the top five six times. He also has 11 top 10s there. Logano is +1200 to win the 2023 NASCAR Cup Series title.
LONG SHOT
Aj Allmendinger (+20000)
With just 214 points so far this season, Allmendinger has a lot of catching up to do. He finished fifth at the All-Star Race, so that’s a good start for him.
Writer’s Prediction
Kyle Busch wins the 2023 Coca-Cola 600.
