Horses and girls. Who knew that that combination could be wholesome and sexy at the same time? While horse racing has historically been a male-dominated sport, women have been making their mark on the sport and in the winners’ circle in recent years. And these ladies are as hot off the track as they are on.
With that in mind, and to help get you set for this weekend’s California Chrome-favored Belmont Stakes, we’ve ranked the top five hottest jockeys in horse racing below. Read on for pics and a bit on each rider, or check our high-value sleeper predictions for the race and create a betting account now to get in on all the, uh, hot action.
Top 5 Hottest Women in Horse Racing
1. Chantal Sutherland
Chantal Sutherland’s biggest accomplishment as a jockey came in 2011 when she won in the Santa Anita Handicap, becoming the first female to do it. But as they say, a good pedigree is everything in horse racing: before she won the Santa Anita, she was featured in a four-page spread in Vogue.
2. Kayla Stra
Born in Australia, Kyla Stra won more than 500 races in the land Down Under before moving to California in 2007. Since then, she has been racing in both the Southern and Northern California racing circuits. In 2009, she was among the main characters in the two-season long Animal Planet series, Jockeys.
3. Kirsty Milczarek
In 2008, Kirsty Milczarek became the first female in the United Kingdom to have saddled three winners in one afternoon. Thing is, if you ask us, every horse “Fiesty Kirsty” ever saddled has been a winner.
4. Maylan Studart
A regular in the New York racing scene, this Brazilian bombshell began her racing career on a hot start by…being extremely hot. She then went ahead and won five of her first 15 races, which didn’t hurt.
5. Rosie Napravnik
Rosie Napravnik is one of the most decorated female jockeys currently plying their trades in North America. Among her biggest wins were the 2011 Louisiana Derby and the Breeders’ Cup Juvenile in 2012. Napravnik was also the only jockey on this list who competed in this year’s Kentucky Derby, riding Vicars in Trouble to 19th. She will ride Preakness dark horse Bayern on Saturday, who is priced at +1,000 to win in the Preakness Stakes. [sc:Horses490baner ]
