The Washington Nationals stumbled to their second consecutive defeat with a heavy 5-0 loss to the Los Angeles Dodgers on Sunday. They will look to return to the win column tonight when they take on the New York Mets in the opening game of their three-game set.

He came away with a no-decision in his last start against Baltimore on July 10, allowing just one run on six hits in six innings of action. He has surrendered a total of just two earned runs in his last three starts.
The Mets, on the other hand, will counter with ace Matt Harvey (8-6, 3.07 ERA). The Mets have won three of their last five games with Harvey as their starter. He was superb in his last start, allowing just two runs on five hits in seven innings of work in New York’s 4-2 victory over Arizona on July 11.

The Los Angeles Dodgers stretched their unbeaten run to two games with a resounding 5-0 win over the Washington Nationals on Sunday. Zack Greinke extended his scoreless streak to 43.2 innings as he lowered his major-league best ERA to 1.30. The Dodgers will look to sustain the momentum of that huge victory when they take on the Atlanta Braves in the opening game of their three-game set tonight.
Starting for the Dodgers this evening is Brandon Beachy (0-1, 6.75 ERA). He struggled in his last start, giving up three runs on five hits in four innings of action in Los Angeles’ 7-1 loss to the Milwaukee Brewers. Beachy, who has undergone two Tommy John surgeries in the past three years, was making his first start since August 2013.
He will have his work cut out for him tonight as he will face Atlanta’s talented right-hander Matt Wisler (3-1, 3.10 ERA). He has been superb at home this season, allowing just one earned run in his two starts at Turner Field. He has an incredible 0.68 ERA and a 0.90 WHIP at home this year.
The Braves are 4-2 in their last six home games against the Dodgers.
