Ryan Blaney (+1600)
Although Blaney was not able to get a win last Sunday at the Coca Cola 600, it must have been a relief for him and his fans that he finished fourth in that race. It’s been a while since Blaney had a top 10 finish. His last one came at the Daytona 500 last February and his best finish since then, prior to the 2020 Coca Cola 600, was an 11th-place finish at the Pennzoil 400 presented by Jiffy Lube in Las Vegas. His fourth-place finish last Sunday was Blaney’s best at the Charlotte Motor Speedway since becoming a member of Team Penske. He was eighth there at the 2017 Bank of America 500 when he was still with Team Woods Brothers Racing.
Erik Jones (+2000)
Jones has been decent since the resumption of the NASCAR Cup Series. Over his last three starts, he’s finished inside the top 12 in all of them. He was eighth at The Real Heroes 400, fifth at the Toyota 500, and 12th at Coca Cola 600. Success continues to be elusive for Jones of Team Joe Gibbs Racing, but he’s consistently showing that he’s got what it takes to prevent bettors from completely ignoring him. Jones now has five top 20s in six career starts at Charlotte Motor Speedway.
Chris Buescher (+10000)
We have Buescher on the long shot category of our complete preview of the 2020 Alsco Uniforms 500, but for this feature, he can be a passable sleeper. Buescher turned at least a few heads last Sunday, when he placed 11th at the 2020 Coca Cola 600. That was not the first time Buescher unexpectedly caught people’s attention, though. Back in February, Buescher got to stand on the podium with a third-place finish at the 2020 Daytona 500.
