The Seattle Seahawks will more than likely defeat the Cardinals here in Week 17. But that doesn’t provide bettors with the confidence they need, because when you look at the ATS numbers, Seattle is a bit of a dud. The ‘Hawks have failed to cover in four of their last five games at home, and have gone just 1-4 against the spread in their last five games following a win. However, if any team is going to reverse that trend, it will be the Arizona Cardinals, as they have covered only once in their last seven games on the road.
Still, TopBet bettors aren’t averse to betting on the Seahawks here, with over 60 percent in favor of Seattle, a team that is 1-1 ATS when double-digit favorites this season. The line has moved from -10 (opening) to -9 (at press), so stay tuned as we update the article should bettors sway significantly in either direction as we approach Sunday game time.

Betting on the Arizona Cardinals (7-8)
The Arizona Cardinals are not going to be in the playoffs this season. It looks like now, the window of opportunity has closed on the Cardinals. Arizona is going to be in the market for a quarterback, and several other key offensive pieces this offseason. Last week, the Cardinals closed out their final home game of the year with a win.
Arizona beat the Giants, 23-0. Larry Fitzgerald played well in his last home game of 2017. Fitzgerald had nine catches for 119 yards and one touchdown. Fitzgerald’s future with the team has yet to be determined, but right now it looks like the future Hall of Fame inductee will return for another season with the Cardinals next year. Look for Fitzgerald to try and repeat last week’s performance and have over 100 receiving yards again in this game.
Defensively, the Cardinals are holding their opponents to 327 yards per game this year, and allowing 22.5 points per game this season. Patrick Peterson has anchored the squad on defense again this season. The Cardinals are going to give the Seahawks are they can handle on the road in this matchup.
Betting on the Seattle Seahawks (9-6)
Seattle was left for dead before last weeks game with the Cowboys. Seattle was demolished by the Rams at home, 42-7. The Seahawks had not been beaten like that in years. Last week with their backs against the walls, the Seahawks beat the Cowboys on the road, 21-12. The game was a playoff elimination game, with the Seahawks ending the Cowboys season in Dallas.
The Seahawks had just 136 yards of total offense in the win. Seattle quarterback Russell Wilson passed for 93 yards and two touchdowns. Wilson also led the team in rushing with 29 yards. This week, look for Seattle to try and get the running game going. The team is going to need more than Wilson against their division foe. Seattle is going to need Russell Wilson more than ever, if they are going to be playing in the playoffs this year.
On the defensive side of the ball, the Seahawks are allowing 20.4 points and over 345 yards per game this season. Last week, the Seahawks defense allowed 283 yards in Dallas. Look for the Seattle Seahawks to be fired up for this matchup. The Seahawks need a win and Falcons loss to get in the playoffs.
Writer’s Prediction
The Cardinals are going to be playing for pride in this matchup. Look for this game to be a bit closer than advertised. The first meeting was decided by six points. Arizona might not score a lot in this matchup, so field goals are going to be the key for Arizona. Look for the Seahawks to have a lot of pressure, but Russell Wilson will deliver a win at home. Pick: Seahawks (-9.5)
