Top Bet Games to Bet On
Denver Broncos vs Kansas City Chiefs (December 1, 4:25 PM ET)
The Denver Broncos and Kansas City Chiefs will have to put last week’s tough losses behind them as they aim to wrest control of the AFC West. [sc:NFL240banner ]
The Broncos surrendered a 24 point lead to the Patriots as Peyton Manning had his worst statistical game of the year. Last week’s hero, Knowshon Moreno, who rushed for a career-high 224 yards, could be hampered by an ankle injury, while both cornerback Champ Bailey and tight end Julius Thomas are set to return from injury. Denver is 4-1 SU in its last 5 games vs Kansas City.
Odds: Broncos (-5.5) vs Chiefs (+5.5); O/U: 49.0
The Chiefs also have a demoralizing loss and injuries to deal with. They dropped their first home game of the season after allowing a season-high 41 points to the Chargers. Justin Houston and Tamba Hali were both injured during the game and the former’s elbow injury will likely keep him out this week. The offense, though, posted a season-high 38 points in a losing effort. Kansas City is 5-1 SU in their last 6 games at home.
Alabama Crimson Tide vs Auburn Tigers (November 30, 3:30 PM ET)
This Saturday’s Iron Bowl will be pivotal in determining both schools’ postseason plans. [sc:NCAA240banner ]
#1 Alabama is in prime position to contend for its third consecutive national championship, but it’s still must-win in their remaining games to secure a ticket to Pasadena. The undefeated Tide – led by Heisman hopeful AJ McCarron – are coming off another dominating performance in their 49-0 shutout of Chattanooga, further reducing their FBS-best average points allowed to a miniscule 9.3 points/game. Alabama is 4-1 SU in its last 5 games vs Auburn.
Odds: Alabama (-10.5) vs Auburn (+10.5); O/U: 55.0
But #4 Auburn will provide some stiffer competition. The Tigers are almost certain of a BCS bowl invite regardless of the outcome of the Iron Bowl, but victory over ‘Bama would send Auburn to the SEC Championship Game and could have an outside shot at a National Championship slot. For the Tigers to succeed, they’ll need quarterback Nick Marshall to come up big with both his arm and his legs (112 rushing yards/game in last 6 games). Auburn is 8-0 ATS in its last 8 games.
