The city of Oakland, however, will still see pro sports at home while the Warriors are away, as the Oakland A’s host the Texas Rangers for Game 1 of a three-game series, which begins tonight.

Oakland is on a three-game losing rut, but the A’s feel confident of ending their skid as they put Sonny Gray on the mound later tonight against Texas. Gray owns a 7-2 record and a 1.65 ERA, lowest in the American League.
The Rangers, meanwhile, will counter Gray with Nick Martinez. Martinez (4-2 2.89 ERA) is 0-2 in his last two starts, giving up nine earned runs on 18 hits during that stretch. Nevertheless, the Rangers are 4-0 in Martinez’s last four starts against AL West teams.
