He pieced together six scoreless innings and allowed only two hits in a Game 1 victory over Toronto on Friday. He has surrendered only three runs in two playoff starts.

The Blue Jays, on the other hand, will have Marco Estrada (1-1, 3.09 ERA) as their starting pitcher in this must-win ballgame. He allowed three runs on six hits in 5.1 innings of action in a 5-0 loss to Kansas City in Game 1. Estrada had a 2.92 ERA in two regular-season starts against the Royals this year.

The Blue Jays are 6-2 in their last eight home games against the Royals.

Daniel Murphy

The New York Mets grabbed a commanding 3-0 lead in the National League Championship Series with a 5-2 victory over the Chicago Cubs in Game 3 on Tuesday night. Daniel Murphy was the star of the show for the Mets, hitting his sixth homer this postseason off Cubs starter Kyle Hendricks. The Mets will look to complete the series sweep later tonight when they take on the Cubs in Game 4 of their NLCS at Wrigley Field.

Starting for the Mets in this all-important game is Steven Matz (0-1, 5.40 ERA). He will be making his second postseason start after allowing three runs in five innings against the Dodgers in Game 4 of the NLDS. Matz has never faced the Cubs in his career. Chicago, on the other hand, will counter with Jason Hammel (0-0, 6.00 ERA). He conceded four runs in just three innings in his last start in Game 4 of the NLDS.
