[sc:MultiSportArticles ]New York Mets vs. Atlanta Braves (7:05 PM ET)
Line: New York Mets (+170) at Atlanta Braves (-200); total 7.0 – view these lines
[sc:MLB240banner ]Pitcher Julio Teheran (7-5, 2.34 ERA) has been nothing short of terrific for Atlanta this season. In his latest outing, he allowed two runs (one earned) on six hits against the Phillies. Teheran has also struck out 19 batters in his last two starts.
Atlanta is hoping for another quality start from Teheran when they attempt to sweep the New York Mets. The Mets will take their chances starting the inconsistent Jacob DeGrom (1-4, 3.62 ERA), who is making his first career start against Atlanta.
Writer’s Prediction
Atlanta will be too much for the Mets to handle. Take the total to go over 7.0 just like the first two games of this series.
St. Louis Cardinals vs. San Francisco Giants (10:15 PM ET)
Line: St. Louis Cardinals (-133) at San Francisco Giants (+123); total 6.5 – view these lines
St. Louis is finding itself in an offensive slump lately having managed zero runs in three of their last five games. In the time frame, they were also outscored by their opponents 22-4. They’ll try to give their opponents a taste of their pain by sending ace Adam Wainwright (10-4, 2.01 ERA) to the mound.
Meanwhile, the San Francisco Giants have been hitting fairly well against the St. Louis pitcher having a .302 career batting average against him. Read the complete preview of this game here.
Writer’s Prediction
Wainwright will limit the Giants just enough to give his team a narrow victory. Take the total to go under 6.5 for some profit.
