Cole Custer (+1000)

Custer was involved in a crash last week with Martin Truex at Circuit of the Americas. Both drivers were not able to finish the race, but at least they escaped serious injuries from that collision. Custer has not won a race yet this season, but he’s got a couple of top 10s, finishing 10th at Dover on May 16 and also 10 at Talladega on April 25. Custer has also managed to crack the top 20 in both of his only two career NASCAR Cup Series appearances at Charlotte Motor Speedway. He finished 12 last year there in the 2020 Coca-Cola 600 and 18th four days later in the 2020 Alsco 500.

Ryan Newman (+15000)

Newman has three top 10s on the season, though he is coming off back-to-back sub-20 finishes at Dover and at Circuit of the Americas. As for the upcoming race, Newman’s value mostly lies in his extensive NASCAR Cup Series experience in racing at Charlotte Motor Speedway, where he has made 38 starts, dating back to 2001. He has yet to win there, but he has five top 5s on that track to go with 15 top 10s and 24 top 20s. Last year, he finished 27th in the 2020 Coca Cola 600 and 17 in the 2020 Alsco 500. His best finish there was a couple of runner-up performances.

Chris Buescher (+15000)

Buescher is hovering just above the playoff cutoff line, as he has 338 points on the season thus far. A lot of those points have come from his three top 10s, including the back-to-back T10s he had at Kansas (Buschy McBusch Race 400) and Darlington (Goodyear 400). As for this track record at Charlotte Motor Speedway, Buescher has an average finish of 18.7 there across eight starts. He cracked the top 10 in two of his last three starts on that track as well.
