Buescher has three top 5s and five top 10s in 14 career starts at the Daytona International Speedway prior to the calendar flipping to 2023. Buescher has a price of +2800 to win the 2023 DAYTONA 500.
McDowell was winless in the 2022 NASCAR Cup Series season, but he did manage to collect two top 5s and 12 top 10s. But most of the draw for McDowell heading to Sunday’s big race will come from the fact that he’s won the DAYTONA 500 once before. That was in 2021 when he was a heavy underdog to win the event but managed to defy the odds and take the checkered flag to reserve a spot in the NASCAR Cup Series playoffs right away that season. McDowell also has three top 5s and eight top 10s in 23 career starts at the Daytona International Speedway prior to 2023.
Jones only had six starts at the Daytona International Speedway in his career prior to 2023, but he’s got three top 20s there. In addition, Jones has a win and four top 5s in 24 career starts in superspeedway tracks. He also has nine top 10s and 13 top 20s in those races. His lone win there was when he topped the field in the 2018 Coke Zero Sugar 400.
