NFL Week 12 Fantasy Experts Waiver Wire Pickups
Bleacher Report (Michelle Burton)
Position | Pick 1 | Pick 2 |
---|---|---|
RB | Tim Hightower | James White |
WR | Ted Ginn | |
TE | Vance McDonald |
If for some reason, pass-catching back Hightower is still on your league’s waiver wire, pick him up as quick as you can. He just had 126 total yards (69 rushing and 57 receiving) against the surging Panthers defense, and will next face the struggling Rams D that has allowed 100-plus rushing yards in back-to-back games.
James White may also be a good addition. He has 465 yards from scrimmage this season and will now battle the Jets’ run defense that has given up 262 yards on the ground in the past two weeks.
As for Ginn and McDonald, they are on a good run. Ginn is averaging 47.4 yards in his last five outings, while McDonald is netting 60 yards in his last three. The two will also be facing the Raiders’ and Dolphins’ nonthreatening secondary, which both ranks in the bottom five of pass defense.
Heavy (Tim Keeney)
Position | Pick 1 | Pick 2 |
---|---|---|
QB | Carson Wentz | |
RB | Miles Gillislee | Wendell Smallwood |
WR | Tyler Boyd |
Wentz has cooled down from his hot start and has since been dropped by many owners. He should be added again as he will face the Packers’ defense that are on a downward spiral, allowing 309.7 passing ypg in their last three matchups, along with 11 passing TDs.
Gillislee, Smallwood, and Boyd are obvious choices since the guys ahead of them in the depth chart are suffering injuries. The Bengals’ Boyd is the player that is likely to score the most, with AJ Green being out indefinitely. The receiver showed promise this past Sunday, catching six passes for 54 yards and one TD.
CBS Chicago (Jack Thomason)
Position | Pick 1 | Pick 2 | Pick 3 |
---|---|---|---|
RB | Dion Lewis | Chris Ivory | Wendell Smallwood |
WR | Tyler Boyd | DeVante Parker | Marqise Lee |
Lewis got a good amount of opportunities this past Sunday, as he got to play in 22 snaps, producing 49 total yards. Thomason is projecting that the back’s role will grow in the following weeks.
For Ivory, he is coming off his best game as a Jaguar. The veteran was handed the ball 17 times, running it for 39 yards, while also hauling in six passes for 75 yards (114 total yards).
The Jaguars still have Allen Robinson and Allen Hurns as their 1-2 punch in the receiving game, but Lee is emerging as the third reliable option. Excluding the Week 8 game, where he was only used for a couple of snaps, the third-year wideout is averaging 73.2 yards per game in the last five weeks.
With Parker, he’s on a good two-game momentum. Over the span, he has 13 receptions for 182 yards and one TD. He should be able to continue the production with the Dolphins having a red-hot, five-game winning streak.
