Record: 3-6 Overall / 1-5 Conference
If you need to know one thing why Indiana will still be motivated to play their next game against Ohio State despite the circumstances, it’s that they need to win out their regular season assignments to become bowl eligible. Beating Ohio State is never going to be easy no matter the state of Indiana after nine weeks of football, but it now seems even harder for the Hoosiers with their top two quarterbacks potentially out of Week 11 due to injuries. That means Indiana could be left with true freshman Brendan Sorsb running the show under center in Week 11 against a superpower in Ohio State. Sorsby was out of sorts in the few snaps he took against Penn State, but he could be a mystery that could turn out to be the x-factor in a potential cover at least for Indiana against the Buckeyes, who didn’t really look too good against Northwestern.
The Under is 6-4 in Indiana’s last 10 road games.
Betting on the Ohio State Buckeyes (-41.0)
Record: 9-0 Overall / 6-0 Conference
The Buckeyes came into the game against Northwestern averaging 48.9 points per game – the best in the nation. But it clearly struggled to move the chains and to put points on the board against the Wildcats. However, it can be expected to return to normal for CJ Stroud and the Buckeyes in Week 11 against Indiana’s leaky defense that was allowing nearly 32 points per game entering the Hoosiers’ matchup against Penn State. Ohio State’s high-powered offense is behind the Buckeyes’ undefeated record, but this is also a team that can stifle opposing attacks. For one, the Buckeyes own a top-10 scoring defense in the nation.
Ohio State is 4-2-1 in its last seven home games overall.
Writer’s Prediction
Ohio State wins, 47-13.
