New York Yankees vs. Baltimore Orioles (7:00 PM ET)
[sc:MLB240banner ]Michael Pineda (2-2, 1.83 ERA) gives the Yankees’ rotation a boost when he makes his first start tonight since April. Pineda was among the reliable pitchers in the Yankees’ rotation before being relegated to disabled list, having surrendered just two runs or less in his four starts this season.
The under is 4-0 in Pineda’s last four appearances on the mound. He will be up against the Orioles’ offense that averaged 9.0 runs per game in their last four games, three of which have gone over the total.
Writer’s prediction: The Orioles spoils Pineda’s return with a win over the Yankees.
Pittsburgh Pirates vs. Detroit Tigers (7:08 PM ET)

Farmer, though, was 10-5 to go along with a 2.60 ERA in 18 starts this season for Single-A West Michigan. The Tigers are 0-5 in their last five games – all coming on the road – but are 3-0 in their last three at home.

The Braves, however, have Ervin Santana (11-6, 3.69) on the mound, to spell them some confidence. Atlanta is 5-0 in Santana’s last five starts.

They are 3-1 in the left-hander’s last four starts at Kauffman Stadium.

Seattle goes for a sweep of the visiting Blue Jays, as the Mariners summon Hisashi Iwakuma to the mound in tonight’s series-ender. The Mariners are 3-1 in Iwakuma’s last three home starts. They are also 8-2 in their last 10 games at Safeco Field. The Blue Jays, on the other hand, are 4-1 in their last five games as +110 to +150 underdogs.
