FAVORITES
Kyle Larson (+375)
Larson is smoking right now. He will rev his engine at the Texas Motor Speedway this weekend after winning both of the last two series in the 2021 NASCAR Cup Series. Larson won the 2021 2021 Coca-Cola 600 at Charlotte Motor Speedway on May 30then snagged the checkered flag a week later in the 2021 Toyota Save Mart 350 at Sonoma Raceway. Larson is currently second overall this season with 617 points, three wins and nine top 5s.
Denny Hamlin (+900)
Hamlin is the overall points leader so far this season with 664 points under his name despite the fact that he has yet to win a race this year. But that’s what placing inside the top 5 nine times plus 12 times inside the top 10 can do to a driver. Hamlin can get his first win of the season this weekend at Texas Motor Speedway, where he has three wins in 30 career starts. He last won there during the 2019 O’Reilly Auto Parts 500.
Martin Truex Jr. (+800)
After a couple of letdown performances, Truex announced his presence loudly last week when he placed third in the 2021 Toyota Save Mart 350. Truex is tied for first this season with three wins to go with six top 5s and nine top 10s. He finished second in his last start at Texas Motor Speedway, which was back in the 2020 Autotrader EchoPark Automotive 500.
SLEEPERS
Alex Bowman (+1600)
Bowman is having a not-so-shabby season. He’s got a pair of wins already, as he won in Dover in May and in Richmond back in April. He’s on a great stretch as well, coming into the All-Star Race. Bowman has cracked the top 10 in all of his last four starts.
Kurt Busch (+3300)
Busch came alive last Sunday, breaking in the top 10 for the first time since February, as he placed sixth in the 2021 Toyota Save Mart 350. Also, get a load of this: Busch has 23 top 10s in 36 starts at Texas Motor Speedway.
LONG SHOT
Ryan Newman (+6600)
Newman is another guy who made his presence felt last Sunday, as he finished sixth in Sonoma after failing to crack the top 25 in the previous two races. Newman has made the top 15 in three of his last four starts at Texas Motor Speedway.
Writer’s Prediction
Kyle Larson wins the 2021 NASCAR All-Star Race.
